Please introduce yourself. We would like to know more about your background and experience in WoW, especially vanilla WoW (private servers included)
Hey, I'm Dom.
I started playing WoW when I was 12 back in Vanilla, and got to the lofty heights of a big level 43. I picked WoW back up again when WoTLK came out and I began playing my death knight which now has a 300+ day playtime in retail.
I've never been much for PvP but I have always really enjoyed everything PvE. I have raided probably 80% of all raids in retail in a progress environment, including day raiding in WoD netting several top 50 kills. Most recently I have been in the guild Hyped on Tarren Mill which is one of the better 2 day raiding guilds in EU English - the reason I am no longer there is because I wasn't keeping up with the weekly m+ which was a requirement (m+ is fucking boring!).
I much prefer the game being more focused on the raiding rather than the neck grind/m+ crap that sadly is a factor nowadays which just isn't fun.
I have never dabbled with any private servers.
How much time will you be able to invest/play and raiding. In a vanilla guild this often means long commitment while waiting for all the content to be released and cleared. How do you feel about having to do same old raids over and over again?
I have no commitments that will impede me being able to play for the foreseeable future, I have complete control over my life and can do as I please! I love raiding so that doesn't put me off at all.
Please link a screenshot of your raiding UI with the applied class (you can use https://imgur.com/). Make sure that your keybinds and addons are set up, as we are very interested in inspecting them.
Do you have a problem with any of the requirements written above(summoner, one fixed profession etc.)?
What will you choose as second profession?
Initially leather working as I look to craft myself some devilsaur items but after that will have to see what the future phases will unlock and figure out the most valuable profession.
Would you be willing to adjust your specc for the benefit of the raid?
There will be specific raidaddons that every raider will have to install, are you ok with that?
Already used to working with like 50 weakauras per progress tier so thats fine!
We require all our Raiders to use Discord during raids and for out-of-game chat/announcements/world boss alerts. We expect everyone to have it configured. Are you fine with that? here is the link to our guilds Discord https://discord.gg/nFXpxcR and pls post post your discord tag so we can contact you if needed
All good. Freakeh#2284
Is there someone currently in the guild that could or would vouch for you?
Favourite Vanilla encounter(not mandatory)
Haven't done them when in Vanilla so can't comment.
What are your goals and expectations from the guild or the game?
I want to see all the raids in their true form and to enjoy that experience with a properly committed guild.
The 40 man aspect of raiding I think will make for a very social and unique environment that I haven't found previously whilst playing WoW and I find that quite exciting. Just the leveling experience has reminded me why I fell in love with this game in the first place!
I am fully aware that I don't hold the vanilla experience/knowledge of others but I feel that I am a pretty good player so won't struggle to pick things up.
Why do you think you would be a bigger asset to the guild over someone else?
I think being reliable and dependable is very useful when it comes to a raid member and those are both traits that I have. I have had near 100% attendance across every guild I have been a part of, so when I'm committed I don't let people down. I think I'm a pretty good player and have had years of raiding experience which should make fights that I'm not clued up on easy to learn.
Anything you would like us to know, for example a day you can not play at all weekly(not mandatory)?
